A modern stained glass window in the chapel.
The stained glass window overlooking the castle courtyard.
The huge solar windows, where the womenfolk would sit and sew and gossip.
The footings of the stables, which Cromwell burned to the ground, having stolen all the horses first.
The castle is built onto the top of the rock-cut dry moat surrounding it.
I climbed to the top of the keep, though it did my leg muscles no favours!
There were groups of canoeists on the River Severn.

Love your pictures Jennie...I can be an armchair traveller!!
Very Good shots. Again the blue haze. Otherwise that one looking through the stone archway or whatever would be awesome. Ther little white flowers in the grass - what are they? I think the others are dandelions. That's not clover is it? I really enjoyed this tour! and you probably did plenty of favors for your legs. Just didn't FEEL like it!
