Normal service will resume later . . .
Sorry, I had been planning to type up a list of what early pioneers to America needed to take to keep them going for One Year, but instead of being upbeat as usual, I am having one of those 'black dog' days where I just feel Very Glum. I am going to sit in a corner with a book until I can shake it off (hopefully a good night's sleep will do it).

A quiet day with a book is the best medicine--especially when good sleep has eluded us. Add a warm quilt, mugs of tea, the company of cats. Hope you will feel restored by tomorrow. I don't have to be at the quilt shop today or on Monday---reading and sewing is what I hope to do. I'm trying not to be untidy after the huge midweek effort to have the house ready for realor's photos. So far the cats don't understand TIDY--rugs rucked up, potted plants attacked, sprawling on top of my fabric cutting.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.. can't wait to read about the early pioneers... my great grandmother came over here from Wales and I have a bit of info about her but nothing about what she had to bring etc... mostly what I have is info about the trip on the ship Hadley.
Oh, so glad it's not just me who has days like this ... been feeling very much the same for the last couple of days! Can't seem to settle to anything and feeling very introspective.
Never mind, "this, too, shall pass", as they say.
Chin up,

All the best,Cheer up.
Abook and cosy corner actually sound quite welcoming!
Oh Bovey, black dog days are so disheartening. I feel for you (most of this last week has been like that for me) but I know the gloom will pass. Take care of yourself. Ann.
Hi, I hope you soon feel better and more upbeat. Jillx
Hi Jennie! Hope you've found a happy book to read. I just finished 'Tess' and my heart is ripped out!! I was going to start 'Return of the Native', but not if it is as tragic as this one. Is it?
I'll be back to look for your response.
Beautiful book, but almost too much for me emotionally!
Nancy
