Kelli's Show and Tell

Show and Tell

This is my first Show & Tell. I hope I can work the links out!!

This is a beautiful plate I discovered at a Car Boot Sale here in Wales. It is late Victorian and a beautiful plate for putting a cake on for Sunday Best. The chap only wanted £1 for it. Needless to say, I couldn't resist such a beautiful plate (or such a bargain) and so it came home with me. I especially like the little blue birds on it (Blue Tits , just like the ones we get in our garden.) I keep it for Sunday Best too . . .

Love those little birdies! It's funny that the majority of these Show & Tells are wonderful little finds that people come across! Welcome to our little Friday group and thanks for sharing!

Well, I've been a visitor to Kelli's blog for a year or so, but it wasn't until I finally decided to have a blog myself - thanks Nancy - (and found out it wasn't as difficult as I'd thought!) that I've been able to join in.

I am SO cock-a-hoop I managed to join in at long last! Jennie

You are so welcome, my dear Jennie. I enjoyed seeing the plate. It is sitting on some lovely looking aged wood. What IS that? I'm just so intrigued by your home and your surroundings, and I'd give a lot to drop by one of your "car boot" sales just once!

Hi all. Great to have you come and visit!

MammyT - it's on a shabby patio table (desperately needs re-oiling this year). I have quite a collection of china and old things, so I think I have plenty to show you over coming weeks.

I will come visiting some more Show & Tells later today. I normally get to see all, even if I don't have time to post to that many folks.

I hope you'll be regular visitors at my blog.

Jennie,

The plate is just beautiful. I tried coming by to see your Show & Tell yesterday, but couldn't find the photo. Today I could.

I am so happy that you are enjoying your blog so very much. And happy that you joined in Show & Tell Friday too! I don't visit often lately because your blog loads very slowly for me. (We still have a wretchedly slow dial-up connection.) But I'll continue to visit as often as I can. It's a lovely blog!

God bless,
Mrs.T

Trying again, as Blogger wouldn't let me comment. My rather lengthy comment disappeared into thin air!

Lovely plate! So happy you are loving your blog so much and that you are taking part in Show & Tell Friday!

God bless,
Mrs.T
