Coastguard's Cottage and cannon, Castle Hill, Tenby
I know we're all guilty of doing it - visiting a blog and just browsing and not leaving a comment - but I seem to have my "faithful few" who comment, and I would love to know what people think about some of the things I witter on about. I have 100 plus visitors most days, who seem paralysed with politeness! Just pop in and say "hi" - that would do . . .

Well, I really enjoy browsing through your blog and love the pictures of interesting places, the archaeological snippets (those Dartmouth lions are just gorgeous)and the virtuous "hussifry" which you obviously find immensely satisfying, but I tend to catch up on a week's posts in one go - I'll make sure I say hi when I do.
Hi there,
I know how much comments mean to me...
They tend to have me running around doing a Happy dance.
So after a year of "lurking" many of my daily fav blogs I always try and leave comments now.
To spred the love around alittle.
the feedjits good too at least that gives me a extra buzz knowing someones come by.
I added you to my new favs list and hope some Oz traffic will come your way:)
Only found you this week:)
Thanks both. I just have a curiosity to find out who lurks in the darkest recesses of my computer I guess!
I write about the things which interest me, obviously, I would just love to know how many other folks are interested too.
Hi, I'm a guilty one I'm afraid. I love your blog and visit quite often but don't leave a comment because I haven't got a blog myself and didn't know if it was the done thing. Will do in future though
Daisy:)
Hi Daisy. Great to see you and I'm glad you enjoy my blog. You don't have to have one in a reciprocal sense. It's just nice to have some feedback : )
I know what you mean Jennie...it is nice to hear from anyone who happens to stop by. Have a good weekend.
Lurkers are a funny bunch. I lurk on several blogs but comment regularly on others. I really don't know why. Sometimes I lurk for a while until I feel as though I "know" the place well enough to say hello. A lot of it depends on how the blog author responds to comments too...
I lurked here for quite a while before I commented first. I like your blog very much and your photos are lovely which makes me think that they could be a bit bigger :o)
hi jennie
you know i love reading your blog and am very interested in your posts especially the history of the places you visit, dont always leave messages, but always watch your blog and read it. :)
Hi,
I read your blog, firstly because I love West Wales, and St.David and Solva, secondly because I'm interested in history and churches as well...my blog by the way is Northstoke and I have another one on there Poetry and prose, cos I like collecting such things ;) To be quite honest blogs become obsessional, they are like a diary, you record the fragments of your life and things that interest you...
Thelma
Thanks for speaking up. Most of you I know but Thelma I don't, so hi to you. I will check out your blog shortly. Obsessional? Moi? You betcha! I once asked a friend in the Records Office what interested him most and he replied, "Everything." That just about sums me up too.
Sian, having given thought to the percentage of posters, I was looking on a very popular blog (offspin of Rhonda'Jean's Down-to-Earth) and that has about 2000 visitors a day, but still only about 1 in a 100 posting, so perhaps I'm doing better than I thought. As for the photos, if you click on them they become ginormous, but I will try and make them bigger on my blog in the first place.
What a lot of responses to this. I'm sometimes late, but you know I always get here! A person told me last week that, roughly, 4% of visitors leave comments. That pretty much corresponds to what I get. I always feel bad to take advantage of someone's hard work at writing a nice article and posting pictures, etc. So I nearly always leave comments. I think we all like to know that people are visiting, even if they don't have something to say, but an encouraging word is so awesome.
Love,
Nancy
