Autumn Walk by the River

A view I never tire of.
I love the balance of autumnal colours here.

I think this one's my favourite scene, and it was safe enough to climb down onto the bank to look upstream properly.

Down by the mill, where the boulders beneath the water make it boil and heave.

The lane home.

Another stretch of the river where the "white horses" live . . .

The beech trees have the loveliest of colours right now.

I'm just off for another walk now, camera in hand. Piddle Valley Apple Cake recipe and one for Pineapple Applesauce Cake to follow later today.

Oh, Jennie! I have just caught up by going through all your recent blogs. What lovely walks - and I'm not een winded! Your photos are superb. Looks like a lot of water in the river now. The trees, water and rocks make such beautiful compositions and, yes, the beeches are awesome. I absolutely love Kipling: poetry, short stories, novels, kids' stories -- all of it. I'll be looking at the site you linked to.
God bless you, my dear.
